HelpHub’s New iOS App Solves On-Demand Tutoring Connecting Students with Experts in Real Time

Vancouver, Canada (PRWEB) January 20, 2015

HelpHub Services Inc. (“HelpHub”) launches its first mobile iOS learning app, available for iOS devices in the App Store now. The app can be described as iMessage and FaceTime for tutoring, and it allows students to connect with thousands of experts to get help whenever they need it, from wherever they are. Students can use the app to find a tutor, chat with them via instant messaging, share photos of their projects or work, and even hold a face-to-face video session right through their iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

“We now have the potential to connect with anyone, anytime, anywhere in the world. Not to mention, tap into the knowledge and experience of millions of people who can impact someone’s learning by tutoring or mentoring them online. This opportunity to leverage mobile technology is one that we must utilize and one that has driven our vision here at HelpHub.” – 22-year-old Miguel Kudry, Founder & CEO.

With smartphone ownership surpassing that of personal computers, mobile learning is on the rise. A 2014 Baylor University study reports that on average, students spend 8-10 hours per day on their cell phones. This level of connectivity is an opportunity to make a student’s time on their phones more effective by integrating familiar tools they can utilize to get help with their studies.

A first of its kind, HelpHub’s iOS app allows students to connect directly with tutors from wherever they are, while also allowing tutors to earn a supplementary income from the web or their smartphone, choosing their own rate and availability. In the soft release of the app, HelpHub was able to connect busy students with experts on the go. In one instance, HelpHub connected a student with a physics tutor and she was able to work on her homework while commuting to dance practice.
