The PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) Institute will hold its Wired for Relationship retreat Sunday, Aug. 9, through Thursday, Aug. 13, at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA. The PACT Institute’s co-founders Tracey Boldemann-Tatkin and Stan Tatkin, PsyD, MFT, lead this relationship retreat, which is designed to guide couples and singles toward secure-functioning relationships – a term coined by Dr. Tatkin to describe relationships that are founded in fairness, justice and sensitivity.
“Tracey and I welcome every opportunity to help people understand how to work through relationship-related challenges that they’ve faced or continue to experience,” said Dr. Tatkin. “Kripalu is an outstanding nonprofit health and wellness organization. We are very excited to partner with the center for the first time this August to help couples and singles find secure-functioning relationships.”
The Wired for Relationship retreat is designed for anyone seeking long-term happiness in present or future relationships. Dr. Tatkin and his wife Tracey will guide guests through hands-on exercises to help them understand how to operate as a two-person psychological system that is collaborative and mutually-beneficial. Attendees can expect to learn how to recognize relationship styles, manage conflicts healthily and develop mutually satisfying commitments. Singles will learn to identify their personal relationship styles and how to vet potential partners for the highest level of compatibility.
Dr. Tatkin is an assistant clinical professor at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and has a private practice in Calabasas, CA. In addition to leading several couple and relationship retreats each year through the PACT Institute, the Tatkins also offer therapist training programs in major cities across the United States and around the world.
